Here Shane Nicoletti from www.ffireland.com shows a side lying FFI Pilates Reformer movement for the glutes mainly. The positioning of the toes to up, paralell etc. adds a different effect to the movement.
Side lying is suitable for clients who cannot lie flat on their back. You can do movements like this in our Pilates Reformer classes.
