FFI™ manuals are designed to help the readers and students with our unique methods in strength and conditioning and corrective exercise. The manuals are written with easy to follow instructions for each movement. Our movement manuals were written by Shane and Fiona, who have many years teaching fitness professionals, athletes and the general public.
On the FFI™ web site you will find instruction videos to assist you with most of the movements in the manuals. These FFI™ movement manuals will always be works in progress, as we constantly strive to evolve with our unique methods.

The methods used by Function & Fitness Ireland (FFI™) in this Pilates Training manual are based on the work of Joseph Hubertus Pilates. The FFI™ Pilates Training Level 1 course focuses on modified Pilates methods that suit beginners or people working in rehabilitation. The FFI™ Pilates Training Level 1 course prepares the student for the original Pilates repertoire. The FFI™ Pilates Training Level 1 course was designed by a physical therapist. The focus is on safe teaching and efficient training methods which are paramount at FFI™ courses.
FFI advanced Pilates training, studies and teaches, Joseph Pilates original 34 matwork movements. Alongside these full body movements, we look at how they target our bodies myofascial chains.
